Installation of Tricel P8+ 4000 litre pumped discharge Wastewater Treatment System, construction of 20m² sand filter including soil improvement works and laying of 120m² infiltration bed
BACKGROUND
Maurice and his family have lived in their home in Blessington for over 46 years, he is a keen gardener, with a beautifully appointed garden on a raised site.
He noticed that the ground around his percolation area was becoming water-logged. Wastewater from his home had stopped seeping into the treatment area, had overflowed, and was running down the driveway onto the road below.
Maurice spoke with Bluestream, who recommended having an engineer check and categorise the tank and site. The engineer advised Maurice his tank was ‘end of life’ and that he needed a specially designed and raised wastewater treatment area.
THE INSTALLATION
Bluestream created a full package solution, including the wastewater treatment system and a new fit for purpose percolation area, whilst reconfiguring the newly raised area into a feature.
Maurice created a beautiful viewing area with decking, completely obscuring the treatment system into his overall garden design.
Bluestream Environmental technicians laid down mats to ensure they protected the lawn around the areas they needed to dig up. Jim checked in and follow-up regularly with Maurice, ensuring the smooth running of the project.
Maurice is delighted with the outcome and will continue working with Bluestream Environmental, entrusting them to maintain his tank, and regularly inspect his wastewater treatment system.
